The District Department of Women in agreement with the High District Council of ICT through the Vivelab Bogotá and the National University of Colombia, designed, developed and implemented the SOFIApp mobile application, with the purpose of strengthening the strategy of the District administration around to the prevention of violence against women in Bogotá DCSOFIApp allows women who live in Bogotá D.C.- Identify if they are at risk or are victims of violence in the public or private space.- Learn about their right to a life free of violence and know the mechanisms for their protection.- Locate the institutions to which they can go to: Inform themselves, Request health care, Request protection measures and Access justice.- Activate your support network in case of emergency.- Speed dial to Line 123 in case of emergencies.It is important to keep in mind that the information registered in SOFIApp is confidential. No institution knows this information and only users decide when and how to request support.With the development of this application the 2016-2020 Development Plan "Bogota Best for All" is being fulfilled, in the Third Pillar called "Community Construction and Citizen Culture" - Program to Strengthen the Comprehensive Protection System for Women Victims of Violence - SOFIA - which includes the strategic projects: Bogotá better without violence against women and Bogotá safe territory for women.Likewise, in the Second Transversal Axis: Economic development based on knowledge through the Bogotá Program, a Digital City that seeks to widely promote the use of ICT.More and more women are making more use of ICT. According to the characterization carried out by the High District Council of ICT in the Digital Economy Study of the city, it is estimated that 86% of women in Bogota are users of smartphones, which allows us to conclude that approximately 3.3 million women, You can benefit from this application. SOFIApp is a mobile application that the Mayor of Bogotá gives to the women who inhabit this territory to know and demand their right to a life free of violence.
